Honoring Tradition. Shaping the Future.
For over five decades, the Minnesota Hunter & Jumper Association has been the heartbeat of our state’s hunter/jumper community - uniting riders, trainers, and families who share a deep respect for horsemanship and the thrill of the sport.
How it all began
Founded on Vision. Built on Community.
In 1970, a group of passionate horsemen and women came together with a simple goal: to bring structure, integrity, and camaraderie to Minnesota’s growing hunter/jumper scene.
With handwritten prize lists, volunteer-run shows, and a shared love of the sport, the Minnesota Hunter & Jumper Association (MHJA) was born.
From its earliest days, MHJA has been more than an organization - it’s been a community. A place where riders at every level, from local competitors to national finalists, can connect, learn, and grow.
Every era tells a story — of riders, horses, and a community whose passion shaped Minnesota’s hunter/jumper legacy.
